Peter Obi Call For President Tinubu's Personal Reintroduction Of Self

 The Presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the February 2023 general election has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently provide his personal information. This includes his name, age, parentage, qualifications, primary national service year, and location of service (NYSC). On Wednesday, Mr Peter Obi made this call during a press conference organized by the Labour Party's Presidential campaign in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. Obi stated that it is the responsibility of the President to address the public's call or assumption that Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has failed to inform the general public about his identity, date and place of birth, gender, education from primary to university level, as well as his primary national assignment (NYSC).

Mr Obi has stated that it is the President's responsibility to address the public's concerns regarding Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu's failure to disclose his personal information, which includes his identity, date and place of birth, gender, and educational qualifications from primary to university level. This also includes his primary National Service assignment (NYSC).

It is essential that Chief Tinubu personally explains the circumstances that led to the avoidable national embarrassment. Mr Obi stresses that due to the President's silence on a matter of national severe interest, Nigeria and Nigerians are regarded as crooks. He urges Nigeria to stand tall in the community of nations and that the President should stop using spokespersons, media aides or surrogates of any kind and address the questions himself. Mr. Obi emphasizes that the questions are about the President, not the nation. He believes the President's continuous silence almost turns assumptions into reality. He adds that change is constant and only takes minutes to end this generational national embarrassment.

Mr Obi has stated that the President's continuous silence is unnecessary, considering he has already purchased a form to contest for the country's top position. He believes the President should not assume any form of privacy or secrecy in accountability matters.

Furthermore, Obi calls on Chief Tinubu to address the numerous issues surrounding him, including the controversy surrounding his Chicago State University (CSU) certificate.
