  Former Govs, Ex-Ministers, Others Under  Investigation —EFCC After receiving petitions, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced that they are investigating some former governors, ministers and ministry officials. The Commission stated that details of their involvement will be made public soon . Mr Dele Oyewale, spokesperson for the Commission, disclosed that the EFCC has recovered N27 billion and $19 million in three cases.  Cardoso Vows To Boost GDP to $1trn in 8 Years' As A CBN Governor. The newly confirmed Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Dr. Olayemi Cardoso, has disclosed plans to shore up the country's Gross Domestic Product, GDP, to $1 trillion in eight years. Cardoso spoke while answering questions from senators during his screening and confirmation as the apex bank governor.  He assured the ratified board would adopt several strategies to repair the economy, including short-term and medium-term goals.   The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has disclosed that his administration had employed 250 graduates into the state civil service, 400 health workers and completed the employment of over 2,000 primary school teachers. The Governor stated this in a statement to mark the 2023 Worker’s Day in Minna. He said the administration is currently concluding the employment of more workers in the state civil service.  Recall an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and patron of its presidential campaign council in the State, Alh. Awaisu Giwa Wana in Minna had recently warned Bello to suspend last-minute appointments and massive employment in the civil service to stop unnecessary burdens.
