As Usual-Tinubu appoints Ajuri Ngelale as SA on Media, Publicity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Chief Ajuri Ngelale as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. The Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Mr Willie Bassey, made the announcement in a statement. The appointment will be effective from July 31, 2023, and will continue until the end of the administration unless the President chooses otherwise. According to a statement, the President has requested that he utilize his vast experience for his new task. Additionally, Ngelale expressed gratitude for his appointment as the Official Spokesperson and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in a tweet last night, stating that he is humbled and honoured by President Bola AhmedTinubu'ss recognition of the need for further hard work. I will always do my best. I love you all.

In-Fighting Continues As APC Leaders Compete For Ministerial Positions In Tinubu's Cabinet.

  In some state chapters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), there has been infighting caused by the demand for ministerial slots. Governors, former governors, and party leaders are competing to secure places to present to President Bola Tinubu. According to recent reports from Witty Global News, there is competition for ministerial positions among APC stakeholders who supported the President during the February 25 presidential election and among some leaders from other parties like PDP and NNPP. The President is expected to send the list to the Senate after July 4. By law, Tinubu must name his cabinet within 60 days after taking the oath of office on May 29 and transmit it to the Senate for confirmation. However, there are reports of in-fighting within APC, with some members sanctioned for anti-party activities during the state's last governorship and general election.   President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, appointed Deputy Inspector-general of Police, DIG Kayode Egbetokun, as the acting Inspector-general of Police pending the confirmation of the Senate. Egbetokun was recently appointed as the new Police boss after serving as the Deputy Inspector-general of Police and supervising DIG for the South-West geo-political zone. He was responsible for managing the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, starting April 6, 2023. Egbetokun was born on September 4, 1964, in Erinja, Yewa South local government area of Ogun State. He joined the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, after completing his initial cadet training at the Nigeria Police Academy.  Throughout his career, Egbetokun has attended numerous courses within and outside the Police Force.
