In-Fighting Continues As APC Leaders Compete For Ministerial Positions In Tinubu's Cabinet.

In some state chapters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), there has been infighting caused by the demand for ministerial slots. Governors, former governors, and party leaders are competing to secure places to present to President Bola Tinubu.

According to recent reports from Witty Global News, there is competition for ministerial positions among APC stakeholders who supported the President during the February 25 presidential election and among some leaders from other parties like PDP and NNPP. The President is expected to send the list to the Senate after July 4. By law, Tinubu must name his cabinet within 60 days after taking the oath of office on May 29 and transmit it to the Senate for confirmation. However, there are reports of in-fighting within APC, with some members sanctioned for anti-party activities during the state's last governorship and general election. Additionally, some APC leaders and members have argued that only "genuine APC members should be appointed" to avoid rewarding strangers who benefited from their contributions to the party in the last dispensation. Despite the submission of resumes of prospective presidential candidates by lobbyists, no names have been mentioned, and it is unclear who will make the list. Rumours are that the President may delegate more authority to Special Advisers, leaving ministers with mainly symbolic roles. Ic roles.
