  The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, says since 1993 when he began gunning for the President seat, he has done so without any controversy, unlike the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, who is contending with alleged drugs and identity scandals. Atiku said this in his response to the preliminary objection filed by Tinubu and APC in reaction to Atiku's petition, challenging Tinubu's emergence as the February 25 presidential election winner. The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared that Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to win the election. The commission said that Atiku came second with  6,984,520 votes, while it announced Labour Party's Peter Obi as the second runner-up with  6,101,533 votes.   A former presidential candidate, Chief Ambrose Owuru, has filed a new suit at the Court of Appeal in Abuja against the May 29 inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Owuru, who participated in the 2019 presidential election under the platform of Hope Democratic Party (HDP), in the suit, is explicitly asking for an order prohibiting President Muhammadu Buhari, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from swearing in Tinubu as president come May 29. In the new suit marked CA/CV/259/2023, the plaintiff also wants the court to stop Buhari, AGF and INEC from taking further steps on the 2023 presidential election that produced Tinubu as the winner.   Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State says the act of Hudu Ari in seeking to manipulate the outcome of the just concluded governorship election in Adamawa State is an embarrassment to Bauchi State, where Hudu comes from. Bala, who spoke to newsmen in Yola when he paid a congratulatory visit to his Adamawa State counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri, after Fintiri’s reelection earlier on Tuesday, stressed that Hudu’s kith and kin back home are depressed by his action. “For us in Bauchi, we are highly embarrassed and disgruntled.   It was an unprecedented moment on Sunday when Senator Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, was declared the Adamawa State gubernatorial election winner. The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Barrister Hudu Yunusa, shocked the nation with what many had described as a coup when he usurped the power of the Returning Officer to declare Binani, winner of the State guber election. Recall that a supplementary election was conducted in 69 polling units in Adamawa on Saturday in places it was not held during the March 18 gubernatorial election.  Before her declaration, Binani was trailing behind Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had maintained a margin of 31,249 votes. Fintiri scored 421, 524 votes ahead of Binani, who polled 390, 275 votes before Saturday's supplementary poll.   The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has won the 2023 governorship election in the state. Mr Mbah polled 160,895 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Chijioke Edeoga, who scored 157,552 votes. The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Frank Nweke Jr, garnered 17,983 votes to come a distant third, while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Uche Nnaji, placed fourth, with 14,575 votes.
