The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has disclosed that his administration had employed 250 graduates into the state civil service, 400 health workers and completed the employment of over 2,000 primary school teachers. The Governor stated this in a statement to mark the 2023 Worker’s Day in Minna. He said the administration is currently concluding the employment of more workers in the state civil service. Recall an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and patron of its presidential campaign council in the State, Alh. Awaisu Giwa Wana in Minna had recently warned Bello to suspend last-minute appointments and massive employment in the civil service to stop unnecessary burdens. He reasoned that the Governor’s recent actions were uncalled for as they would put the incoming administration in a tight financial corner.
