Good day Once. 


ONCE: Hello and great to meet you


Q: Can you give us a brief introduction about yourself


ONCE: Ok, my name is Festus Sunday, I hail from Abak in Akwa Ibom State but was born in Calabar, Cross River State. I had my primary education at LEA Primary School, Gwako, and my Secondary education at the Government Secondary School, Gwagwalada, before proceeding to the University of Port Harcourt, though I dropped out later to pursue my music. I am a professional singer, songwriter, and performing artist, currently signed up with Dreamz Wayward Nation Record Label.


Q: So what was growing up like and at what point did you go into music?


ONCE: Like most of our Nigerian artists, growing up wasn’t easy. I started hustling from a tender age, hawked different things for my mother and to keep the family fed. It wasn’t easy generally but I survived and am still surviving (laughs)

Well for music I started loving music from a very tender age I enjoyed listening to a lot of music and I have always known I can make good music but I never attempted not until 2017. So you can say officially I started making music in 2017.

Q: How do you think you have fared in the music industry?


ONCE: I think growth is a process, so I am a work in progress. However, I would say the experience has been good and the experience is elating not forgetting the challenges that come with the process. But in all, we give thanks to God


Q: So Tell us about your forthcoming EP


ONCE: Yes, finally I am releasing my EP titled “Vibes from BUJ” a four-track body of work on the 20th of May 2023. I worked with Shifu the producer and I have Magnito on the project. This project will blow the mind of a lot of people cos after the conclusion of this body of work I looked at it and said “This is good” So guys go and pre-save on all streaming platforms the title is VIBES FROM BUJ. We have a challenge coming up when we release the EP on come 20th of May 2023, we will want different music lovers across d globe to participate, so go to my page on IG (oncedwn) and follow the instructions... 


Q: Before your release of your EP, what songs have you put out there?


ONCE: I have several songs like Bad Habit which I released in 2017, in 2018 I released Bad Girl and in 2020 I dropped another single titled Vibing Girl I went on a low till 2022 when I released Virgin, and finally here we are since last after enough preparation I and my management is set to drop my first E.P.
