Onanuga Clarifies That The Appointment Of Service Chiefs Is Not Based On Nepotism.

On Monday, Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity for the now-defunct Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organization, took to his official Twitter handle to clarify that President Bola Tinubu's recent appointment of new Service Chiefs was not influenced by nepotism. As we may recall, Tinubu dismissed all previous service chiefs on the same day.

In response to accusations of nepotism, Onanuga clarified that the appointments of service chiefs were distributed across the significant geo-political regions of the country. He pointed out that Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff, is from Enugu in the South East, and Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye, Chief of Defense Intelligence, hails from Obudu in the South-South. Onanuga also provided a breakdown of the state/region of service chiefs to support his point. He emphasized that before making accusations of nepotism against the Tinubu government, critics should conduct thorough research and gather all relevant information.
