The acting governor of the state, Aiyedatiwa, released a statement on Tuesday stating that he has been in constant communication with the governor. He expressed his gratitude to the governor for acknowledging the state executive council members holding the fort while he was away. Aiyedatiwa also thanked the public for their unwavering support and solidarity during the governor's medical leave. The state House of Assembly speaker confirmed that the governor's medical leave has been extended. Still, Aiyedatiwa urged the public to disregard rumours about the governor's health status, including false claims of his passing. Aiyedatiwa assured the public that the governor is recuperating and in high spirits. He will continue his laudable service to the state as soon as he is certified medically fit by his doctors.
