A fire incident occurred at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday, causing chaos as passengers and airline operators were seen running out of the airport. At approximately 7:50 a.m., a smoke incident was reported at Terminal 1 of the airport in Ikeja, Lagos. The source of the smoke was traced to the basement of the Terminal building. Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, the FAAN Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, stated that the airport's Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS) quickly responded to the situation and brought it under control.
