WITTYVERSE STUDIOS SET TO UNLEASH A CINEMATIC THRILLER THIS SUNDAY — WHERE EVERY SECRET HAS A PRICE

A mysterious offer. A dangerous refusal. A city controlled by secrets. One decision that could change everything.

ABUJA, NIGERIA — What happens when an ordinary young man refuses an extraordinary offer from people powerful enough to influence the future of an entire city?

What if that refusal exposes a hidden world of ambition, manipulation, betrayal and secrets that were never meant to be discovered?

This Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM West Africa Time, WITTYVERSE STUDIOS is scheduled to introduce audiences to THE CITY THAT SOLD ITS SOUL, a suspense-driven African cinematic series exploring the dangerous intersection of power, wealth, innovation and human conscience.

The production marks an important step in the studio's vision to develop psychologically compelling African screen stories with emotionally grounded characters, cinematic atmosphere and carefully constructed mysteries.

But behind the excitement of the premiere lies a question that forms the foundation of the entire story:

EVERYONE HAS A PRICE.
WHAT IF YOU REFUSE TO BE BOUGHT?

EPISODE ONE: THE PRICE OF BEGINNING

Some opportunities open doors. Others lead into traps.

At the centre of the story is Elijah, a young man whose determination to preserve his principles places him on a collision course with forces far more powerful than he initially understands.

When Kobi approaches him with an extraordinary offer, what appears to be an opportunity for advancement quickly becomes something more disturbing.

The proposal carries expectations that are not fully explained.

The people behind it appear to know more about Elijah than they should.

And the consequences of rejecting it may be more dangerous than accepting it.

As Elijah attempts to understand the forces gathering around him, seemingly unrelated events begin to reveal troubling connections.

Questions emerge about his past, the intentions of those seeking his cooperation and the true value of what he has been asked to surrender.

But the greatest mystery is not the offer itself.

It is why powerful individuals have become interested in a young man who appears to possess nothing they should need.

What does Elijah possess that makes his refusal so dangerous?

COMING NEXT — EPISODE TWO: THE COST OF SAYING NO

The first decision was difficult. Living with it may be deadly.

As the mystery deepens, Elijah discovers that rejecting an offer does not necessarily end the transaction.

Sometimes, refusal is precisely what begins the real negotiation.

Kobi finds himself under increasing pressure from interests operating beyond public view.

Meanwhile, Amara begins following a disturbing trail involving Damian's old warehouse company, where apparently disconnected details suggest that the present conflict may have roots in a much older story.

Dr Nia's involvement with Elijah's prototype introduces another layer of uncertainty, raising questions about innovation, ownership and the interests surrounding his work.

And somewhere within the unfolding mystery, Mama Blessing carries a connection to the past that may prove more consequential than anyone suspects.

Then comes a moment capable of changing the direction of the entire story.

Damian recognises a name.

ELIJAH BLESSING.

And suddenly, the question is no longer simply why Elijah is being pursued.

It becomes something far more unsettling.

WHAT DOES DAMIAN KNOW?

Why has the past remained buried?

And who is determined to prevent Elijah from discovering the truth?

MORE THAN ENTERTAINMENT — A STORY ABOUT THE PRICE OF HUMAN CHOICES

THE CITY THAT SOLD ITS SOUL is conceived as more than a conventional mystery thriller.

Its narrative explores the difficult relationship between personal ambition and moral responsibility, asking how far individuals may be willing to go when success demands compromise.

The series examines the tension between influence and integrity, innovation and exploitation, family loyalty and concealed history.

At its heart is a universal human dilemma:

What happens when the opportunity to change your life requires you to surrender the very principles that define who you are?

Through suspense, conflict and carefully unfolding revelations, the production invites audiences to consider the consequences of decisions made under pressure.

Every character has something to protect.

Every relationship carries unanswered questions.

And every revelation threatens to expose something more dangerous.

THE WITTYVERSE STUDIOS CINEMATIC VISION

WITTYVERSE STUDIOS is developing its screen identity around compelling African storytelling, complex characters and emotionally engaging narratives that extend beyond the final scene.

For this production, the creative direction emphasises realistic visual presentation, cinematic lighting, atmospheric environments, consistent character development and suspenseful storytelling.

The series is structured to reward attentive viewing, allowing seemingly ordinary conversations and decisions to acquire greater significance as the narrative progresses.

Rather than revealing every secret immediately, the story gradually exposes the consequences of choices, relationships and hidden interests.

The ambition is to create an African cinematic experience that combines entertainment with meaningful reflection on human behaviour.

The Leadership Dilemma: A Call for Personal Excellence in Nigeria. By Itoro Uwah

Nigeria stands at a critical juncture, grappling with an endemic system crisis that permeates the very fabric of our society. The axiom "you cannot give what you do not have" rings particularly true in these challenging times. This fundamental truth should serve as a compass for every Nigerian and our leaders as they navigate the complexities of governance and national development. To truly move forward, we must embark on an introspective journey that repositions our collective mindset towards personal excellence , a transformation that could reflect positively on our nation's future. Unfortunately, the current generation seems entrapped in a cycle of self-interest and shortsighted priorities. Many appear to have lost sight of the essence of their roles as leaders—an oath taken to secure and protect the citizens of Nigeria. Instead, we observe a disturbing trend: citizens being commodified and reduced to mere tools for personal gain rather than valued members of a t...
