The government has warned that proceeding with the proposed industrial action would constitute a gross violation of an existing court injunction. Meanwhile, the National Economic Council (NEC) has also called on the labour unions to refrain from embarking on the indefinite strike while advising the Federal Government and Labour to continue negotiations at the state level.   The Lagos State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development on X platform, formerly Twitter, late Thursday night. The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested Balogun Eletu, a controversial socialite known as Sam Larry in Lagos. The arrest is about an ongoing investigation into the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, a singer popularly known as Mohbad. The confirmation of the arrest was made by the Lagos State Police Command's Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) late on Thursday night.  Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, aka Sam Larry, is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.

  South Africa's RCL Foods culls 410,000 chickens amid bird flu outbreak Sept 28 according to (Reuters) - South Africa's RCL Foods   (RCLJ.J)   said on Thursday its poultry unit Rainbow has culled 410,000 chickens due to the country's worst outbreak of avian flu, heightening fears of chicken meat and egg shortages. The Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreak, a bird flu that spreads rapidly in an infected flock, causing a high death rate, has already impacted table egg supplies in the country. Producers have warned of  chicken meat shortages  in the coming weeks.  Rainbow is one of South Africa's largest chicken producers, supplying retailers and fast food businesses. "The outbreak has rushed, and the situation is constantly evolving.
